Transformers 5 Introduces Hot Rod And Robot Dementia

May 9, 2017

They say that Transformers: The Last Knight is going to be the last film directed by Michael Bay. Despite all the hate the man gets, I think that these films are pretty amazing, real eye-candy. Infinitely dumb, needlessly conveluted, but pretty amazing nonetheless. The thing with these Transformers movies is that every movie is marketed as if it’s some next level stuff that is completely different from what you’ve seen before. However, Bay manages to shove down our throats the same, uhm, material over and over again.

If you think that Michael Bay has learned anything from his mistakes or that the 5th Transformers will bring something new to the franchise, here’s a clip from the movie where Sir Anthony Hopkins says “But you want to know, don’t you, DUUUDE?”

We get to see the first glimpses of an Autobot named Hot Rod and a buddy of Hopkins’ character who still thinks it’s WWII. Check out the clip here:

The movie hits theaters on June 23, 2017 and stars Mark Wahlberg (Cade Yeager), Sir Anthony Hopkins (Edmund Burton), Josh Duhamel (Lieutenant Colonel Lennox), Laura Haddock (Vivian Wembley), Stanley Tucci (Joshua Joyce), Jerrod Carmichael (Desi), and Isabela Moner as the franchise’s youngest female lead, Izabella.

Also, there’s a new poster for Transformers: The Last Knight with Bumblebee sporting his new, kick-ass hammer:
