With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 finally hitting the theaters, we saw that the sequel has updated the roster of the Guardians with a couple of new additions. You’ve got your Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket and Baby Groot, but there’re also Yondu and Mantis, who have also joined the team. Having seen the post-credits for Vol. 2 and knowing that the Guardians are going to appear in the third Avengers movie, we believe that it’s going to affect the roster in Vol. 3, which is reportedly going to hit theaters in three years. So, let’s delve into the rich history of Guardians of the Galaxy and pick some of the coolest members.
Angela. Originally, Angela was an adversary and sometimes ally of Spawn. However, to the legal mambo-jambo, her character ended up in Marvel. After the Original Sin event, we discovered that she is actually Thor’s sister that lived her entire life in the 10th realm called Heven, where she was a super powerful, highly skilled huntress. Once she was pulled out of her universe she briefly teamed up with the Guardians.
Iron Man. The one and only, Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man had a chance to join the team for a little while. He was fascinated by the technologies at the Guardians’ disposal and wanted to learn a few nee tricks from Rocket and Peter Quill. Tony and Rocket became good friends and Iron Man’s back and forth with Star-Lord were the funniest parts of the comics. Hopefully, we’ll get the chance to explore more of that in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War.
