Contemporary Russian artists Ekaterina Panikanova was born in St. Petersburg in 1975. The talented artist has graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts with flying colors. Currently she lives in Rome and creates truly mind-bending artworks that erase the line between a painting, a collage and an installation.
For instance, Ekaterina is painting her artworks on a very unusual canvas – she prefers old books and magazines. One of her creative projects that is called Errata Corrige, which can be translated as “work on mistakes” reflects on her memories from the past, that ware carefully layered on numerous pages of old book and magazines.
