Dragon Ball is finally back, baby! As you know, it is called Dragon Ball Super and the show acts as if Dragon Ball GT has never happened. GT was such an abomination that they decided to bring back the original creator Akira Toriyama to oversee the creative process, for better or for worse. Despite the fact that Super seems to be wasting its potential on rehashing the same stories again and again it did give us new villains. Also, we gladly re-watched all the seasons and movie specials to count down the coolest villains our favorite heroes have ever stood up against. They say that a hero is only as good as his villains. Luckily, for Dragon Ball champions, it has plenty of good ones. So get ready to power up:
This warrior Saiyan was probably the first real threat that got the Z-fighter worried. No one could beat him until Goku showed up in the final moments and defeated him within seconds. Little did Nappa know that Goku’s power level at that point had reached “over 9000!”
Broly was considered to be the legendary Super Saiyan because he was born with a power level of 10,000, a level even experienced and trained fighters couldn’t reach in their lifetime. King Vegeta saw him as a threat and wanted to kill the kid, but could not as the arrival of Frieza foiled his plans. Broly had a bone to pick with Goku because they were born on the same day and, apparently, Goku was yelling was too loud? (It’s ridiculous, I know).
Simply put, he is a space Hitler and a force to be reckoned with. This dictator had the power to destroy planets and, evidently, he did. He wiped out the entire Saiyan race (except Goku, Vegeta, Nappa, Raditz, Broly, Broly’s dad and Turles) because it was prophesized that someday a strong enough Saiyan would appear to destroy Frieza. To minimize the risks he decided to kill them off right away.
