Wade Wilson a.k.a. the Regenerative Degenerate, a.k.a. the Merc with the Mouth, a.k.a. Deadpool is a crowd’s favorite for a few reasons. For instance,  he’s one of the funniest characters in the entire Marvel Universe, his healing factor can get him out of any trouble and he is really super skilled with all kind of weaponry. Granted, his first live-action appearance was a bit of a mess, but (butt!), the second try was a phenomenal success. In fact, this is probably the first super successful R-rated superhero movie that managed to amass nearly 800 million USD. 1. Deadpool is married to a Demon Queen. Deadpool’s love life is insanely complicated and considering Wade’s looks his chances of love at first sight are slim to none. Fortunately for him, he has finally tied the knot! Currently, he is married to the Demon Queen of the Undead named Shiklah.

 

2. Deadpool invited 232 heroes to his wedding. The hero-packed cover of the issue about Wade’s wedding holds the world’s record for a comic book cover with the most comic book characters on a single issue cover. Can you imagine the time and diligence the cover artist (Scott Koblish) had put into drawing each character?

 

3. Deadpool actually has a daughter. Believe it or not but it’s true! Back in the day, when he was a subject to gruesome genetic experiments, Wade had an affair with a lady named Carmelita Camacho. Deadpool abandoned Carmelita without even knowing she was pregnant. Fast forward to present day, Deadpool has become a father every kid can only dream of. Amongst his swashbuckling adventures, he spends some nights looking over his daughter just to make sure she’s safe.

 

4. Deadpool constantly breaks the 4th wall. Deadpool is one of the few Marvel characters who actually realizes he’s a fictional character. Moreover, the Merc with the Mouth loves talking to his readers.
