Brilliant Blade Runner Anime Prequel Explains The Black Out 2022

The famous director of Cowboy Bebop, Shinichiro Watanabe, has released a new anime prequel that explains Nexus 8 replicants and how the infamous Black Out actually happened. This is already a third short that is aimed to connect the events of the original movie with the upcoming Blade Runner 2049 that takes place 30 years after the first one. In this 15-minute short, we explore the story of 2 replicants on a mission to set off an EMP that would erase any data on all Nexus Replicants, which consequently would end the suffering of replicant persecution. Blade Runner 2049 arrives in theaters on October, 6. The film is directed by Denis Villeneuve (Arrival / Sicario / Enemy) and stars Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Ana de Armas, Robin Wright, Jared Leto, Barkhad Abdi, Lennie James, Mackenzie Davis and Sylvia Hoeks. Executive producer – Ridley Scott.
